2020 Section 1AA Boys Hockey Preview Here is the updated bracket, as of February 19th 2020. First take, by @followthepuck #1 seeded: Lakeville South Cougars head into playoffs with a 18-7 record. They gathered wins against Rosemount, Holy Family, Duluth East, Hermantown and Eagan. The leading goal scorer is Cade Arenholz with 16 and in
#1- Andover finished the regular season last night with a 3-0 W over a good Blaine team. Overall they are 21-3-1, they split with Blake, beat Duluth East, Maple Grove, Rosemount and Moorhead this season. The leading scorer is Garrett Schifsky with 19 goals and the leading goalie net is Will Larson with 11 wins.
The #1 seed Moorhead, is probably the favorite to come out of this section. They have an overall record of 18-5-1 with wins against Wayzata, Minnetonka, Edina, Eden Prairie, Benilde and class A favorite Saint Cloud Cathedral, they should be well tested for the playoffs. Leading goal scorer is Caden Triggs with 30 goals, and
#1 seed Warroad ended with a 23-2 overall record, beating Grand Rapids, Saint Cloud Cathedral, Thief River falls, East Grand Forks, Duluth Denfeld, Moorhead and Grand Forks ND. Warroad is typically a good team but we did not expect them to be this good this year. Leading scorer is Grant Slukynsky with 30 goals and
#1 seed is St Cloud Cathedral, overall record of 20-3-1. They were the preseason pick to repeat as class A champs this season. They went 6-1 against AA schools this year and play arguably the toughest schedule of any class A team. Leading goal scorer is Blake Perbix with 27 goals and 74 points, goalie
Section 3A Hockey Preview for 2020 Historically this section has not had a good opening day showing at the X, will this be the year that changes? The #1 seed Hutch had some nice wins during the regular season after a rough season opening loss to Holy Family. They did not lose in section play
