Hopkins vs Roseville

The Boys High School hockey season begins tonight with two games on the schedule, one featuring Hopkins and Roseville. Hopkins enters this season aiming to improve upon last year’s early playoff exit at the hands of Wayzata. The team is likely to approach this season with determination, looking to make up for past shortcomings.

Similarly, Roseville was also eliminated in the early rounds by Gentry Academy last season. However, they have a notable junior class that could influence this year’s performance. Among these players are #17 Jake Vilella and #9 Prentiss Maier, who both show promise and have the potential for playing at the collegiate level. Their contributions could be significant for Roseville’s performance this season.

As the new season commences, both teams will be looking to start strong and build momentum. Hopkins will be keen to put last year’s disappointment behind them, while Roseville will hope that their standout juniors can lead the team to a better finish. It’s the outset of a new season, and both teams are setting their sights on longer playoff runs than last year.

Grand rapids looking to make a deeper run than last year all though impressive in the post season they ultimately got knocked out in the second round by a very tough Andover huskies.
