Rochester Century/John Marshall and Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper played a close contest with the Royals coming out on top 2-1. Miller Tate Gladney opened the scoring early for Armstrong/Cooper with a goal at 1:14 of the first period, then added a second goal on the power play midway through the third to stake the Royals to a 2-0 lead. Rochester Century/John Marshall got on the board at 12:03 of the third period when Jarek Solak scored to cut the deficit to one, but that was as close as they would get. Gladney’s two goals powered the Armstrong offense and were enough to hold on for the narrow victory.
Breckenridge/Wahpeton vs Kittson County Central

In a game where Breckenridge/Wahpeton controlled the pace, the Eagles came away with a 3-1 win over Kittson County Central. Easton Neppl struck first for Breckenridge/Wahpeton in the opening period. In the third, Josh Hofman extended the lead before Kittson County Central answered with a goal from Guilford Finney to make it 2-1. Breckenridge/Wahpeton sealed the outcome with a late tally from Gracin Kaste to reach the 3-1 final.
North Shore vs Moose Lake Area

North Shore shut out Moose Lake Area by a 2-0 margin behind a pair of second-period goals. Joshua Maxwell opened the scoring at 2:12 of the second, assisted by Isaiah Bertin and Josh Johnson. Bertin then added an insurance goal at 12:29, giving North Shore a two-goal cushion they maintained for the rest of the game. The North Shore goaltender stood tall between the pipes, blanking Moose Lake Area on 43 shots to preserve the clean sheet.
Duluth Marshall vs Hibbing/Chisholm

Duluth Marshall and Hibbing/Chisholm skated to a 2-2 tie that remained deadlocked through an overtime period. Hibbing/Chisholm jumped out with two second-period markers from Cole Swanson and Tate Swanson to build a 2-0 lead. Duluth Marshall battled back in the third period with goals from Davey Schachte and Kyler Black to even the score at two. Neither team scored in the extra frame, leaving the game final as a tie at 2-2.
Lakeville North vs Chanhassen

Lakeville North and Chanhassen played to a high-scoring 5-5 tie after regulation and overtime. Lakeville North got off to a quick start with two power-play goals by MaGuire Dewees in the first and second periods. Chanhassen responded with goals from Logan Smith and Nolan Warner in the second to pull even, then added another early in the third from Paxton Lee to take the lead. Lakeville North’s Logan Nelson brought his team back within one before Chanhassen’s Kaleb Bergman restored a two-goal edge. Lakeville responded late with two more goals, including another from Nelson and one from Rylan Decker, forcing overtime. Neither squad scored in the extra period, and the game finished in a 5-5 tie.
Night in Review
Tight margins and balanced scoring defined last night’s slate. Robbinsdale Armstrong/Cooper’s Gladney stood out with a multi-goal game to lift his team past Rochester Century/John Marshall.
