π Mound Westonka Gearing Up for 2025β26 with Explosive Returning Core
The Mound Westonka White Hawks will look to build off a competitive season that saw flashes of offensive firepower and emerging young talent. While they say goodbye to key seniors like Blake Decker and steady blue-liner Luke Poikonen, the cupboard is far from empty.
The 2025β26 team will return a deep, experienced forward core, an improving defense, and a trio of goaltenders with game reps β all eager to push the program forward.
π Key Returning Players
Collin Hagen (#2, F, Sr.)
One of the most productive forwards in the state, Hagen erupted for 49 points (25Gβ24A) in 25 games. His speed, puck control, and scoring touch will make him a go-to leader and top-line force.
Liam Grant (#23, F, Sr.)
Grant was pure electricity with 40 points in 22 games, including 30 goals. He and Hagen form one of the more dangerous returning duos in the section.
Logan Hill (#18, F, Sr.)
A reliable secondary scorer who tallied 23 points, Hill brings senior experience and a responsible two-way game.
Beckett Poikonen (#26, F, Jr.)
Notched 15 points, mostly as a playmaker. Poikonen adds important depth to the middle six and could take a leap this season.
Wesley Foley (#36, F, Sr.)
Chipped in 12 points and brings physicality and energy to the lineup.
Noah Huesmann (#4, D, Sr.)
Will take on a larger role with several senior defenders gone. Logged quality minutes and plays a steady defensive game.
Griffin Olson (#6, D, Jr.)
One of the more seasoned returners on the blue line, Olson played in 24 games and showed potential in transition.
Theodore Johnson (#25, D, Sr.) and Luke Sunnarborg (#10, D, Sr.) also return, rounding out a unit that will be tasked with keeping things clean in the D-zone.
Kaleb Halonen (#30, G, Sr.)
Appeared in 19 games last year, finishing with a .854 SV%. With another year of growth and more consistent team play in front of him, heβs expected to take the reins as the starting goaltender.
Joshua Biehl (#33, G, Sr.)
Strong in limited action with a .938 SV% and 0.75 GAA over two games. Heβll push for more ice time and gives the team a solid backup or 1B option.

π Outlook
Mound Westonka returns two elite scorers, a capable top-six forward group, and a rotating goalie duo that has shown flashes. While replacing veteran defensemen will be a challenge, the White Hawks have a strong mix of seniors and juniors ready to step up.
With Hagen and Grant leading the charge, expect this squad to put up goals and play a fast-paced game. If the defense gels and goaltending holds strong, this team could make some serious noise in their section.
