π‘ Providence Academy Lions, Gritty Core Returns for 2025β26 Season
After a season marked by growing pains and competitive flashes, the Providence Academy Lions return a solid group of underclassmen ready to take the next step. While the team will graduate several key seniors, the Lions’ young core is deep with experience and upside β and hungry to climb the ranks in Section 2A.
π Key Returning Players
William Stricker (#17, F, Jr.)
Stricker led the Lions in scoring with 36 points (16Gβ20A) over 24 games. Heβll return as the centerpiece of the offense and could break the 50-point mark next season.
Gavin Sattler (#12, F, Jr.)
Another top-line contributor, Sattler recorded 31 points, showing solid finishing ability and vision. Expect him to continue generating offense and building chemistry with Stricker.
Jay Anderson (#11, F, Sr.)
A dependable presence, Anderson tallied 23 points and will be one of the few seniors on next yearβs roster. His leadership and versatility will be key.
Eliot Carlson (#34, F, Jr.)
A quiet breakout, Carlson notched 23 points and contributed in all situations. Heβs one to watch for a big leap.
Mason Carlson (#3, F, Jr.) and Isaac Socolofsky (#16, F, Jr.) chipped in with 11β12 points apiece and bring valuable scoring depth.
On the blue line, Chase Carlson (#5, D, Jr.) and Josh Wilson (#24, D, Sr.) return to stabilize the defense, combining for 17 points last season. Romeo Sweet (#22, D, Sr.) also returns as a strong puck-moving defender who led all returning defensemen in assists.
𧀠Goaltending Depth
The Lions will return all three goaltenders from last season, led by:
-
Owen Villagomez (#32, Jr.) β Logged 18 starts and posted a .846 SV%
-
Noah Duerr (#30, Sr.) β Reliable in relief with a similar save percentage
-
Kaden Martin (#31, Sr.) β Shined in limited action, recording a 2.60 GAA and a .872 SV% along with one shutout
This rotation gives Providence flexibility in net and competition that could elevate performance across the board.
