Edina Punches Ticket to State with 4-1 Win Over Wayzata
The defending Class AA state champion Edina Hornets are heading back to the Minnesota State Tournament after a dominant 4-1 victory over Wayzata in the Section Final.

Second Period: Wayzata responded midway through the second when Christopher Pyle scored to tie the game at 1-1. The Trojans generated more offensive pressure, outshooting Edina 8-4 in the period.

Third Period: With a trip to state on the line, Edina took over. Mason West scored the go-ahead goal at 8:15, followed by a power-play tally from Freddie Schneider just two minutes later. West struck again with an empty net goal at 14:51 to put the game out of reach, sealing the 4-1 victory.
