Chisago Lakes Dominates Simley to Advance in Section 4A Playoffs
Aldrich Arena, Maplewood – Chisago Lakes put on a dominant performance, shutting out Simley 4-0 in the Section 4A semifinals. The Wildcats controlled the pace from start to finish, outshooting Simley 60-16 and securing their spot in the section championship vs Mahtomedi.
First Period: Chisago Takes Early Lead
Chisago Lakes wasted no time establishing control, heavily outshooting Simley 27-5 in the opening frame. Their persistence paid off at 10:14 when Austin Slettom found the back of the net, assisted by Landon Kerkow and Colton Whiterabbit, to put the Wildcats ahead 1-0.
Second Period: Wildcats Extend Their Lead
Despite a resilient effort from Simley goaltender Everett Hay, who made several key saves, Chisago Lakes continued to press offensively. A power-play opportunity midway through the period gave the Wildcats a chance to extend their lead, and they capitalized at 8:19 when Max Koch buried a shot off a feed from Max Bobrowski and Alex Bever, making it 2-0.
Third Period: Chisago Puts It Away
