Two Rivers beats Park of Cottage Grove 4-0 in section 3AA to advance to play St Thomas Academy. Goaltender Caden Conoryea was rock solid, stopping all 26 shots faced, while Preston Gamer led the offensive charge with two goals.
First Period:
Both teams started cautiously, with neither finding the back of the net. Two Rivers held a slight shot advantage, but Park of Cottage Grove’s defense held firm to keep it 0-0 after one.
Second Period:
Two Rivers broke through early on the power play when Preston Gamer scored at 2:34, assisted by Ryan Rohrer and Eddie Auran. Later in the period, Gamer struck again, this time at 13:32 on an even-strength goal, with Mathew Heymans providing the assist. Two Rivers carried a 2-0 lead into the third.
Third Period:
With Park of Cottage Grove pressing late to cut into the deficit, Two Rivers capitalized on empty-net opportunities. Will Geddes scored at 14:13 to extend the lead to 3-0, and Eddie Auran sealed the victory with another empty-net goal at 15:37, assisted by Gamer and Heymans.
