If you are from Minnesota you know the rest of this week is basically a holiday.

The annual Minnesota boys state hockey tournament starts today and work will be optional for hockey fans all across the state.

At 11:00 its Warroad (20-3-5) vs New Ulm (23-5-0).  On paper Warroad should win this game but as we know anything can happen in playoffs.  All the games are streamed for free thanks to KSTP TV.

The 1:00 game will feature St. Cloud Cathedral (23-4-1) vs Northfield (22-4-2)

The 6:00 game is Alexandria (18-9-10 vs top seed Hermantown (18-8-2)

And the nightcap will see the defending state champions Mahtomedi (17-11-0) vs Orono (20-8-0)

The tournament will feature 4 straight days of Minnesota High School hockey and will conclude Saturday night with the Class AA state championship game.
