The consolation championship saw Brookfield, Wis., triumph over Hopkins 6-5 in an overtime thriller. Southwest Christian/Richfield took third place with a convincing 6-0 victory over Somerset, Wis. The championship game was marked by Proctor’s dominance as they beat Northern Lakes 5-2 to claim the tournament title.
Heritage Holiday Classic
the tourney commenced with Cloquet/Esko/Carlton defeating Apple Valley 5-2, and Anoka securing a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory against Mankato West. Park of Cottage Grove and Duluth Denfeld also started strong with wins over Owatonna and Irondale, respectively. The next day saw Apple Valley and Owatonna emerge victorious in the consolation semifinals, while Cloquet/Esko/Carlton and Duluth Denfeld won their semifinal games, setting the stage for an intense final day. Irondale clinched seventh place, and Owatonna triumphed in the consolation championship. Park of Cottage Grove dominated Anoka for third place.
