After the opening weekend for the 2023 version of the MN Bantam Elite League it appears that the Rangers are the team to beat in the Major division.  They go an impressive 4-0, beating the Penguins 5-3, the Sharks 7-6 in OT,  the Kings 3-1, and North Dakota 4-2.  Leading the Rangers in scoring is Connor Schubert out of Rosemount with 9 points, Sam Wooten out of Apple Valley and Liam Grant from Mound follow him with 6 points each.  They will be back in action next Friday-Sunday with 4 more games against the North Stars, Sharks Kings and Penguins.  The Bantam Elite league is fun to watch and it gives you a good indication for the future of MN High school hockey.
