Minnesota Girls High School Hockey playoffs are happening, it’s the best time of year for hockey fans here in Minnesota.  Here is a quick breakdown of all the Girls games that were played last night.  The winner advances and the loser is done.

section 1A:
in the section 1a play-in game it was winona advancing with a 4-1 win over austin.  despite austin outshooting them 32-18 winona found a way to score and austin did not.  austin ends the season with a 2-21 record, winona will now play dodge county 2-11-23 at 7:00,

section 1aa:
Lakeville north coasts to a 14-0 win over rochester mayo, they will now host owatonna 2-11-23 at 7:00.
Owatonna beats Rochester century  8-2 to continue their great season, they are now 19-6 and have a real shot at beating lakeville north saturday evening.

Section 3AA:
Apple valley 4 – hastings 1.  apple valley continues their great season with a dominant performance last night, they outshot hastings 38-16 in the victory and will now play cretin-derham-hall february 11 at 6:30 pm.  The last meeting between these teams happened 12-30-22 and that was an apple valley win 5-1, but as we know, anything can happen in playoff hockey.
cretin-derham-hall 8 – park of cottage grove 2.  this was a closer game than the score indicates, but cretin does get the win behind 2 goals from hope hadac and stella hadac.  they will now play apple valley 2-11-2023.
Eastview advances with the 2-1 win over metro south. these teams played each other 2-4-2023 and it was a 5-1 win for metro south, this is why we love playoff hockey, anything can happen.  eastview will now play rosemount 2-11-2023 at 7:00.
