Last night was a slow night for Minnesota High School Hockey, just 7 games total were played, three for the girls side and four on the boys side. Tonight will be a different story with over 80 games scheduled once again.
Eden Prairie 3 – Mahtomedi 2 (OT)
It feels strange to say that this game was an upset win for Eden Prairie, however that was the case in our opinion last night. Mahtomedi is having a great season so far and has wins over East Grand Forks, St. Thomas Academy and Benilde St. Margarets. They are now 10-4 on the season and will play East Ridge on January 21.
Eden Prairie is now 7-8-1 this year and has a huge test against Minnetonka this coming Saturday at 7:00. The Eagles are loaded with lots of young talent so keep an eye on this squad as we head into the playoffs and next season.
