Champlin Park Rebels vs the Centennial Cougars

In todays MN High School hockey game of the day we feature the Champlin Park Rebels vs the Centennial Cougars:

Champlin Park comes into this one with a 9-2-0 record and scoring 5.36 goals per game.  They had a close game with defending state champs Andover, (3-2 loss) on 12-15-2022 and as the score indicates it was an evenly played game.  Shots were 27-25 Andover.  The biggest win to date is a 3-2 win over Hill-Murray on 12-29-2022.  Leading the Rebels is senior Jordan Ronn with 30 points through 11 games, Evan Williams has 22 points and Trevor Aberwald has 17.  Goalie Coen Neu is 6-1-0 and has a .906 save %.

Centennial is off to a great start as well with a 6-3-1 record so far.  They tied perhaps the best team in the state (Hermantown) on 12-10-2022.  Hermantown scored with 8 seconds left in the game to force overtime but it would end a 3-3 tie.  Shots were 42-20 Hawks in this one.  They have a win over Stillwater 5-2 on 11-25-2022 and also beat Roseau 6-5 on 12-16-2022.  Centennial is led by the talented junior Harper Searles, (a top prospect game alum)  He has 25 points in 10 games and team-mate Peyton Blair is close behind with 21 points.  It looks like they will rely on junior goalie Gavin Schahn to stop the high scoring Champlin Park squad.  Gavin is 4-3-1 on the season with a .883 save percentage.
This should be a great game with lots of talent on both sides and we will be paying attention to the score as it becomes available.  We are not aware of a livestream link at this time but will update our twitter if one becomes available.  Watch tomorrows inbox for a complete recap of this game!
