MN Boys High School Hockey Section 8AA Preview

The #1 seed Moorhead, is probably the favorite to come out of this section.  They have an overall record of 18-5-1 with wins against Wayzata, Minnetonka, Edina, Eden Prairie, Benilde and class A favorite Saint Cloud Cathedral, they should be well tested for the playoffs.  Leading goal scorer is Caden Triggs with 30 goals, and in net is Hudson Hodges, one of the best goalies in the state with a .927 save %.

#2 seed is Saint Michael Albertville with an overall record of 12-10-3, they tied Hill-Murray, Moorhead and Edina and have wins against Minnetonka, Wayzata & St. Cloud.  The leading scorer is Adam Flammang with 32 goals, in net is Aaron Loch with 12 Wins.

#3 seed Roseau with an overall record of 16-8-1, they have wins against Grand Rapids, Moorhead, Rogers and Warroad, their leading scorer is Max Strand with 20 goals and 44 points.  In net is Andrew Tuttle with 14 Wins.

#4 seed is St. Cloud, they enter section play @ 15-9-1 with wins against Alexandria, Sartell, Brainerd, Farmington and Roseau and are averaging just over 4 goals per game.  The leading scorer is August Falloon with 24 goals and  in net is Spencer Bertram with 12 wins and a .893 save percentage%.

#5 seed is Rogers, they ended the regular season with a record of 12-11-2 and have wins against Minneapolis, Breck, Thief River Falls, Totino-Grace and St. Cloud.  The leading scorer is Tanner Weis with 14 goals and in goal is Patric Loeffler with 10 wins and a .895%.

#6 seed is Brainderd, #7 seed is Buffalo, #8 is Bemidji.

FTP Prediction-

In a tough one to call, we are predicting a section finals game between Moorhead and Roseau with Moorhead moving on to the X.
